AT&T Customers Target of Identity Scam

April 11, 2014 §

AT&T users are the latest victims in a scam targeting consumer personal information. An AT&T customer is called and told they can claim $300 cash bonus by visiting a website and entering their personal information. But there is no $300. Scammers use this information to steal your identity and load malware on your phone. Like stealing your identity wasn’t enough of a hassle!

One AT&T customer talks about how they continued to call her offering her more and more in cash bonuses. She finally called AT&T to verify, only to learn that it was a scam.

As always, be aware and protect yourself.
